Nomura's report highlights this as a structural cost advantage, backed by a 'data flywheel' logic: low cost drives more shipments, which generates real-world physical interaction data, which trains better models, which improves the product. This is Tesla's FSD playbook, but applied to bodies, not cars. Yet the report has a critical blind spot: the quality of that data. The current 5,500 units are primarily sold into scientific research, education, and entertainment—not industrial production lines.
